Why do some people find it easy to stay in shape and exercise and some people don’t, even though they both have the same 24-hours and the same busy lives? And why do some people effortlessly make their dreams come true, while others struggle and end up helping someone else build THEIR dreams? Simply put, why are some people successful and some people are not?

You can do research and measure just about anything in life and narrow it to a simple number or ratio:

  • The # of marriages vs. divorces
  • The average life span in the U.S. vs. the life span in the far East
  • The employed vs. unemployed
  • The # of people with heart disease vs. good health

You can measure anything anyway you want to, but the cold hard fact is the majority of people are just not making it!

In my life experience, what I see is about 1 out of 20 are accomplishing their goals and living their dreams, whether it’s financial, marital, personal, health-wise or whatever. In other words, only 5% are making things happen which means 95% are either failing or coming up short.

So, what are the 5% doing that the 95% are not?!?

If these little tasks are so easy to do, why aren’t more people doing them?!?” Great question! And I’ll tell you:

Because Simple, Easy To Do Daily Actions Are Also Just As Easy Not To Do! And while anyone can easily do them, most people choose not to!

In general, everyone engages in the same sort of behaviors every day – we eat, sleep, walk, talk, listen, work and do hobbies, etc. Each one of us has the same 24-hours a day, 8,760-hours a year, and we all make decisions every day to fill this time-frame with a sequence of little actions; and any one of them, individually, are seemingly quite insignificant. Let’s be honest here. Gold Medal Olympians eat, sleep, shower and watch movies the same as people who are 100 lbs. overweight. The Über-wealthy have family, friends and relationships as do the people who are unemployed. And successful entrepreneurs read books, as well as homeless people living on the streets or in shelters.

Successful and unsuccessful people both do the same basic activities of daily living, but the things successful people do take them to the top and the things unsuccessful people do take them to the bottom or just half-way (middle-class). So, what the heck’s the difference?!?

Every Little Thing You Do Does Matter

This info has been around for decades and decades. So, how come most people in North America are not following this regimen and consuming mass quantities of fat-laden processed foods, like cheeseburgers and fries, on a daily basis, and dying at age 78 or before (the average life expectancy in the U.S.)? Well, I’ll tell you why. Because it won’t kill you TODAY!

If you ate at a fast-food restaurant and right afterwards you suffered a major heart attack, would you eat that kind of food again? Probably not, but that outcome is extremely unlikely. However, when you add up the compound effect of 20-30 years of high-fat and high-sugar content food, eventually you become obese and the coronary arteries of your heart get clogged by plaque build-up (heart disease – the #1 killer in the U.S.) and you can suffer a fatal heart attack or suffer a stroke (a piece of plaque breaks off, then lodges in your brain, creating partial paralysis of your right or left side). In many ways, we dig our own graves with our teeth!

So, it’s easy to eat well and just as easy not to eat well. It’s not the one pepperoni pizza with a large soda that will kill you, but the 100’s and 100’s of junk-food meals in the long-run that will. Not eating processed food today will NOT save your life, but abstaining over-time WILL save your life. It’s up to you. You can decide on a single positive action today or a single error in judgment. It’s nearly impossible to take action against something you can’t see. It’s just simply isn’t true though.

Your daily actions do matter and matter a lot… especially down the road!

Successful people just do the little things that seem to make no difference while doing them, and they do them over a sustained period-of-time until the compound effect of these small, simple steps add up to HUGE success.

Those little tasks every day that will bring you success in regards to your finances, business, health, relationships, education, or whatever you set out to achieve, are simple, subtle, small actions that nobody will notice, nobody will pat you on the back for and nobody will appreciate.
